Worthwhile Investment

Strengths: Many features, easy to clean, improvement over older models

Weakness: Pricey

I had a Sonicare Elite for years that I stopped using because of the way it vibrated to much, part of it hit my other teeth, and it got gunky. This model is such an improvement and really is worth the money. I have some periodontal problems and the dentist recommended using a Sonicare again. I couldn't be happier with this model. It seems to clean my teeth better than the old one and easier to get to the back teeth with. I keep it clean by removing the brushhead and setting it aside, then clean the handle and base with a rubbing alcohol pad, rinse out the head well and pop it in the sanitizer. Don't think it could be much cleaner!

Pricey, but the best on the market

Strengths: quiet, charges quickly, toothbrush head sizing and design, variety of brushing modes, very good at cleaning teeth

Weakness: availability of replacement heads, especially the compact head

Many stores carry replacement heads for other Philips Sonicare models. Replacement Flexcare heads are slightly different and not as readily available. Online sites typically sell the regular head but not the (smaller) compact head, which does a better job of cleaning. I anticipate having to order directly from Philips.

RS930 Flexcare Sonic Toothbrushes

Strengths: Ability to sanitize toothbrushes. It's a Sonic by Phillips.

Weakness: None

I've used a Sonicare Toothbrush for years, but recently it died. I purchased the RS930 Sonic Toothbrush because of the ability to sanitize the brushes. I was amazed at the power.
Having used my old Sonic for quite a few years, I am daily impressed at the cleanliness of my mouth. I also like the ability to work on sensitive/massage modes.

Amazing Improvement

Strengths: Quiet, powerful

Weakness: None

I upgraded my old Sonic Care to this one and found it is much quieter. You can't hear it if the bathroom door is closed. I also found this to be much more powerful moving the brushhead more than my old one resulting in a better cleaning; at least that is what it feels like.

All the electric gismo's I don't use. I just turn the thing on, brush, and turn it off (though sometimes it turns itself off due to the timer).

I've also found this model much easier to keep clean. The way the head and post are designed it makes it much easier to rinse thoroughly and have no gunk build up.

I highly recommend this toothbrush to everyone.

I love this product. It works great! Best money I\\\\\\\'ve ever spent for my dental care. I would highly recommend that you buy this and use twice a day to make your teeth as beautiful as mine!

Love the new Sonicare FlexCare

Strengths: multiple settings, small brush head e-z to maneuver, no gunk buildup inside the brushhead

Weakness: pricey, single brush head

We are LONG time users of the Sonicare. Even use it on our dogs teeth! Can't beat it for effectiveness. The dentist is always amazed at how clean (and white) my teeth are when I go in for checkups. Sonicare made a few tweks with the intro of the FlexCare. No more gunk buildup inside the brushhead! Yea! Don't know if its mold or toothpaste residue or what. But it is not pleasant. The FlexCare eliminates this problem seen with older models. Also like the multiple brush settings. Overall very pleased, even with the slightly higher price.

Excellent Toothbrush

Strengths: Leaves teeth exceptionally clean feeling

Weakness: None

We had a older sonicare toothbrush but this one is just exceptional. Leaves teeth cleaner feeling. And your mouth feels clean for a long time after cleaning. Priced high but worth every penny.

A top of the line toothbrush!

Strengths: Works well, small in size, brush heads easy to remove, put on, UV sanitizer.

Weakness: Expensive, only has one brush handle.

Overall, I love this toothbrush! It isn't too big (it is about the size of my older model Braun for comparison), and the UV sanitizer is compact as well (so the whole unit doesn't take up a lot of room on the counter). I didn't have to adjust to using it as I had already been using an electric toothbrush (my Braun) previously. I love the different settings it has (there is one for a quick clean of 1 minute, one for 2 minutes, and one for 3 minutes that includes a gum massage among others). I also love that it sonically beeps to tell you to brush a different quadrant of your mouth (your mouth is divided into 4 quadrants). Overall, my teeth feel super clean and my gums feel massaged and great. It's not too rough in its brushing or sonic pulses and it really does make brushing fun. The UV sanitizer is great and super easy to use - just pop in the brush head (after you've rinsed it and dried it a bit of course), push a button, and voila - clean brush! I know it's pricey, and I wish it included another handle, but I love it and it's worth it.

Sonicare Flexcare S900 series toothbrush

Strengths: Cleans very effectively.

Weakness: Comes with only 1 standard toothbrush head.

I've owned Sonicare toothbrushes for years. Each new model is more effective than the previous. The S900 series is that and more. This is the most effective toothbrush short of a dentist. The handle is smaller and lighter. The head gets between the teeth better.

It is the first toothbrush with a sanitizer. It really helps for those that don't dry their toothbrush after use. The toothbrush heads are cheaper to produce. Some of that savings is passed along to the consumer.

This is bar none the best consumer toothbrush ever sold.

RS930 FlexCare Sonic Toothbrush

Strengths: Sonicare toothbrushes are wonderful: this one has additional features that make it outstanding!

Weakness: Not applicable

We are thrilled with this Sonicare toothbrush! The features, including the ultraviolet sanitizer, make this a real state-of-the-art product. I can't imagine doing without a Sonicare.

New Sonicare

Strengths: It cleans your teeth- not kidding- it is very thorough.

Weakness: None

When I got my first Sonicare years ago, I noticed that I had to get used to how vigorously it cleaned my teeth. In fact I was a little bit sore at first. Then I adjusted to it. This one is like that again. It is a major step up from my old one and I couldn't be happier. I like the features and I really like the UV sanitizer. I am not a germ freak but I like to be clean.

Sonicare's latest improvement

Strengths: Massage mode; Comes with a travel charger; UV Sanitizer

Weakness: You can't set which mode you'd like as the default. Nonreplaceable batteries.

I love this latest model of Sonicare's toothbrushes. Our entire family has Sonicare brushes and since then our cavity occurence has decreased significantly. However, this model is great because they've added the massage mode which feels good on the gums. In addition, the UV Sanitizer is very easy to use and I believe it'll be especially useful during cold and flu season. I just wish they would make a model with replaceable batteries. It seems so wasteful to throw them out when the batteries eventually die.

Much improved over older versions

Strengths: Less vibration, thinner, stays cleaner, UN sanitizer

Weakness: expensive, louder

Finally Sonicare has got it right. This is the third version of the Sonicare line that I have owned and it is by far the best. The main reason I upgraded is that the Flexcare line does not get "gunky" like all the older Sonicare lines did. Cleanup is a breeze. The handle is smaller and vibrates less, but after the brush ramps up to full speed it is noticeably louder. At the same time it feels like it cleans better than the older models. I love the UV sanitizer: it helps keeps the brush clean and it gives me a closed off space to store the brush. I always put it back in there to avoid anything undesirable that might splash towards the brush.

The Philips FlexCare (HX6930) is a high mid-cost rechargeable electric toothbrush. As it is part of Philips FlexCare line, this toothbrush has the FlexCare system of oral care, which allows you to choose a cleaning mode. You can use Max Care when you have lots of time (it takes three minutes) and want to do a full on cleaning, and Go Care (a one minute brushing cycle) when you are in a rush....
