Pros and Cons...I got some of this from my sister when I added her cat to my family. I could not believe how great it smelled! It doesn't have that icky litter smell. If the scent came in an air freshener, I would buy it! It's a really clean, almost fruity smell. After about 2 days I decided to exchange the brand new litter I had just bought for this stuff. It's been about a month since the switch. I have 3 young female cats and 2 litter boxes, both in my bathroom. I have to say that the odor control is amazing! I don't dread entering my bathroom and smelling ick anymore. Unfortunately, I now dread entering it for another reason... The tracking of this product is worse than the other brand I was using. It's not a ton worse, but worse nonetheless. Because the grains are roundish, they roll extremely easily and end up occupying every last inch of the bathroom within hours. I actually have a hard time sweeping it all up because it rolls around so much. The worst part of this litter is the dust. When you look at the litter itself, it looks like a bunch of little pieces mixed with a fine dust. Unfortunately, this dust ends up everywhere very quickly. I find it on every surface of my bathroom, and everything has to be wiped down every few days. The floor gets really, really, really bad. I clean the boxes every evening when I get home from my night class and about the same time on other nights, so they are cleaned about every 24 hours. Occasionally they get an extra cleaning. Every single time I clean them I sweep every inch of the bathroom (including under & behind the boxes, behind the toilet, etc.). The bathroom is also thoroughly swept before each shower, which is an extra 1-2 times per day. Every sweeping yields about a tablespoon of dust and litter. Because the only way to remove all the dust is to mop or wipe down the floor (which I'm not willing to do daily), my feet or socks are coated with this dust every time I go in the bathroom. I change my socks about 3 times per day right now for that reason. I do notice the dust on my cats' coats as well. The clumping power is okay. I don't have much of a problem with clumps sticking to the bottom (unless my cats dig that far first). About half of the clumps hold up, half crumble. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the length of time they sit, but I don't know if it's the older or newer ones crumbling. Either way, scoop gently! Because of the dust and tracking, I am actively looking for new litter. I think that this litter would be awesome for someone who has the litter box in an area where dust isn't a bother, such as a garage or unused closet. The dust and tracking may also be manageable with fewer cats. The fragrance and odor control are great, and if the dust wasn't such a problem for me I would stick with this litter for sure! As with all litters, please remember that a cat's diet, gender, biology, and potty habits all play a part in litter box odor and litter performance! I have female cats because male cat urine is very strong and I live in a small apartment. It is also worth mentioning that no cat litter will eliminate feces odors as your cat goes. Does your toilet eliminate your feces odors as you go? I didn't think so. Wow. P-o-o-p is apparently not acceptable when talking about kitty litter. Go figure. It took me forever to figure out why my review wouldn't post due to "inappropriate language!" Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Works GreatI'm a little surprised by the reviews saying that this has a lot of dust, or that it doesn't help with odor! I live in a small apartment and this works great for my two cats! It doesn't smell at all and I've never had a problem with any dust or a lack of clumping. My only complaint is that it is fairly easy for my cats to track it out of the pan, but I'd rather have that than a smell. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Do not buy this!this litter was horrible! The clumps were wet and sticky and made a mess of my scoop, it tracked worse than any litter i have EVER bought, and the smell....it was worse than any store brand/generic litter i have EVER used! The stairwell, the small hallway the cat box is in, and my bedroom REEKED. I bought a special little closed-lid trash can just for cat litter to try and contain the smell of the used litter and it didn't help, nor did taking the trash out every other day or so. I only have one cat, i clean her box 1-2 times a day and she has a spikey mat to help catch tracking of litter. her box is in a small hallway so i thought small spaces would be a great choice. it wasn't. don't buy it. the day after i switched to another brand, the smell disappeared and i was able to stop vacuuming my bedroom and hallway every day. Not So GoodI have two cats - for a year now, and I'm still searching for a good litter. I have a small place and had JUST switched the box into the spare bedroom at the same time I switched to this litter. Literally within 8 days, EVERYthing in the near area of the box was COATED in the dust. The windows, the chair, the furniture. Sickening. Furthermore - low tracking? Everytime I clean the box I'm on my knees with my little sweeper & pan, sweeping the floor, hallway, surrounding area. I'm beside myself as to why it has to be this bad and still searching for an alternative!! Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Ahead of the RestI switched to Tidy Cats Small Spaces about six months ago. Then tried another brand which was advertised as green and order killing. Maybe it was, but my kitties did not think so. I live in a 950 sq ft condo, and this litter is the best. I only wish that we coulld get a litter as great as this for killing odors with no dust residue. Try it, you will like it. Great Litter!I got this litter after being disappointed by Freshstep, and I'm glad I did! This litter clumps well, doesn't track much, isn't dusty, and best of all it completely eliminates the smell of my cat's solid waste! And my cat loves it! Definately recommend this! Best Litter For My 2 CatsI tried at least 8 different brands of litter before finding Small Spaces, and I love it. I live in a small apartment, so controlling odor was a huge issue. The small spaces neutralizes the odor almost immediately and even if the box is full with waste, my apartment still smells just fine. This is the only litter I've ever had that keeps the place nice AND clumps well. (I tried Arm&Hammer once. It smelled great, but the clumps were always weak and fell apart!). Overall, this is my favorite litter. Plus it's cheap (always a plus). I doubt I'll ever switch again! :D A note to the reviewer who said they had clumping issues-- One thing you can do to help minimize breakage of clumps is to gently tilt or shake the litter box around to expose clumps instead of shoveling them out with your scoop. :) Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Best SmellingThis is the best smelling litter I've ever used. The odor is not overpowering, yet, it manages to diminish the smell of a freshly used box. I highly recommend it. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? TopSponsored Links

Scent is awful
I have had 5 cats over the past 15 years and this is the worst-smelling litter I've ever tried. Though I can't quite identify the odor -- I had considered its source to be garbage, sewage or a dead rodent before deducing it was my freshly-changed litter box. This stuff is awful.
