Tidy Cats

I've used this litter from day one. I dont think I'd ever try anything else..very litter odor even if I dont get a chance to clean the box for a few days..And I never have an issue with dust! Highly recommend!

Tidy Cat Is THE BEST Litter

I have used Tidy Cat for years....This product is THE BEST, for my 2 cats.....No smell, and less dust. I would recommend this product, Tidy Cats Immediate Odor Control Cat Litter to everyone.

Switched from Fresh Step to Tidy Cats

I can't believe what the other people are saying because I just switched from Fresh Step to Tidy Cats Immediate Odor Control and I'm amazed at the difference. There is literally no odor coming from the litter box anymore, even when I clean it. I used to hold my breath while I was cleaning because of the odor, but with Tidy Cats, I don't smell anything. It does have dust, but all of the ones I've used have some dust and I don't think this one is any worse. I've already recommended this product to a couple of my friends.

dust, dust...and smell

I have used this litter for a while now. I want to use an all natural but due to having four cats and bad experiences with natural I continue to use this....but am going to switch asap. This litter creates huge dust clouds when you clean the box. It always has created dust but lately it is overwhelming and gets everywhere! Also, the smell is strong and fake.

Perfumed To Death!

I have 3 cats and liked this brand for two years, but in the past couple of months, the formula has apparently changed to add tons and tons of stinky perfume. There's deodorizing and then just odor masking, and the mask doesn't help if the perfume smells even worse than the cat poo! The smell is everywhere in my apartment now, and I'm changing to Arm & Hammer Unscented because I just can't stand the perfume reeking anymore.

Worst Litter ever

This litter smells so bad and keeps smelling bad after my cats use it,the clumps fall apart making a big mess, the litter pieces are to big and it makes it harder to scoop out the right amount.

Formula Changed Summer 2008

I have used TidyCat for many years and have about 100 empty buckets to prove it. I recently noticed that the formula has changed from a sand or gravel-like consistancy to some artificially produced tiny round balls. The new tiny round balls clump alright - they harden to some gooey glue-like substance that sticks to the sides and floor of the litterbox and scooper - you need to chisel it off. The new round balls must also be lighter as it tracks absolutely EVERYWHERE (up to 20' from the pan)! I am now in the sorry state of having to find a substitute litter after my 30+ dedicated years of TidyCat use so I can stop vacuuming every other day. Totally disgusted with the change!!

Good clumping litter

I tried this litter (I chose the immediate odor control one) based on the recommendation of my kitten's foster mom. Works well for us and the price is right, though next time I may look for a litter that is not as perfumed. (I am a little concerned about my cat licking off such chemicals from herself so often.) It also doesn't seem to have much dust which is a great plus.

astonished by the good reviews

I've tried Tidy Cats many times over the years because it seemed to always be on sale. I found it to be the WORST clumping litter I ever used and with 1-8 cats at any one time in the past 17 years, I have tried a LOT of cat litters. The clumps would always fall apart as soon as I started to scoop -- it literally NEVER worked and I always gave up and went back to others. I am wondering if they have changed the formula recently since so many people are writing about how well it clumps? Maybe I will try it again, but I am hesitant since it has NEVER worked well in the recent past.

Thumb's up for sure!

You can find this cat litter anywhere, and half the time,it seems to even be on sale. It's always been a bang for my buck.I have multiple cats, and I have always liked the Tidy Cat products. I would definitely recommend. I also love the reusable bucket!!!

Good litter - less dusty than most

Low dust, excellent clumping. I added TidyCat deodorizer to the mix to help mask odors and that did the trick. Odors don't last more than a minute or two before they disappear altogether.

tidy cats

this product is so affordable for me and easy to use, all you do is just put the litter in the box, close the lid, and set it in the closet, you don't have to worry about riping the bag the wrong way!!! and this one has a handle so all you do is lift. this also pails off long lasting odors!!!

Not what it used to be....

I used to be a satisfied and loyal Tidy Cats customer, but over the past year or so I have noticed a distinct decline in clumping power, more so in the immediate odor control than in the long-lasting odor control version. We have a LitterMaid, and this is a huge disadvantage. We have contacted Purina a couple of times and received coupons for replacement litter, but this time we are going to try World's Best Cat Litter. I have to agree about the low tracking, but the dust it leaves in the LitterMaid...well that can't be good for the equipment.

I have finicky cats!

But they love Tidy Cats litter! We have 2 inside cats that absolutely are picky about their cat litter. I didn't know one was different from another til the old store brand we used changed it's company and the cats did NOT like the new litter. It looked like black sand. It had an odd smell and they would not use it. I had to try something else so we went with tidy cats, MULTIPLE CATS, and they went right back to using their litter box with no problems. I was shocked, but hey~~what ever they want to use the litter box they may have! My only wish is to find cat litter in larger sizes....say 50 or 100lb boxes or bag (that don't rip). They should package it all like they do laundry soap and put a scooper in it....to get it in the littler pan with no mess too.

Great product

I recently tried the tidy cats litter and was pleasently surprized. I had used several brands of litter and they were rough little hard pieces of a clay like substance. The tidy cat is smooth little balls. These don't seem to stick in my cats paws and get tracked out of the litter box like the others. My cat likes it also. I think it causes less stress for her to dig in this brand. She's 16 years old so I try to make life as easy for her as I can.

Impressed for a first time cat owner

This litter was recommended to me by the people I adopted my 2 kittens from and I am happy to say that I am glad they did! This litter controls odors, clumps hard, hard enough to scoop out urine within 15 seconds of my kitten producing it! I am very happy with this product. The odor control is something that is important to me, considering I live in a small apartment and this product does what it says. The only thing that I do not like about this product is that it gets into my kittens paws and the litter gets tracked around the apartment, especially around the litter box. That is the only reason i gave this product 4 stars out of 5.
