A movie that has to be seen a few times to take it all in. Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis, and Madeline Stowe all do a remarkable job with their respective characters. A good story with a major plot twist in the final portion of the film.

Another complex Gilliam masterpiece. Most folks want escapism that doesn't bewilder, which is why a lot of his work keeps people at arm's length. 12 MONKEYS is one you have to watch at least three times in order to pick up the detail (most do it once, roll their eyes, and get in line for THE MATRIX). A chain-of-events thriller for the thinking person.

This movie suffers from too many flaws to be ranked so high to me. The plot is a mess from beginning to end. The actors did not need much help to act confused and crazy at times. All they needed to do was pick up the script and give it a quick read. The ending was also very predictable. It suffers the worst flaw for all sci-fi movies and movies in general... boring. Very boring, very often.

It was alright . . . . in this movie, Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt's acting abilities really show through! I'm surprised at their abilities to convincingly portray those characters! Some elements of the movie are a bit old and "done already", but at least it was done pretty well. It's worth a shot, certainly.
