I could have used this years ago!Strengths: Lid effectively prevents leaks. Nice size. Good handles for those heavy stews. Weakness: It may be bigger than your older cooker. Make sure you have room for it on the counter and in your car. I've managed to spill chili and several other dishes out of my older cooker while moving it from place to place in my car. I still have some stains to prove it. This cooker has already proven itself during a football game party and a holiday party. The lid seals very well. No more spills in my car or down my shirt.
